Description
Cowboy Santa Walking Home: The Last Few Miles on Foot
Wide framed canvas print in a solid wood frame you choose in black or white, ready to hang out of the box.
Whatever he was riding, he is not riding it now.
A Western Santa Under a Very Big Sky
He is coming straight at you across open country, small in the frame with the whole sky stacked up behind him in towers of white cloud. Wide brim hat, red coat gone dark at the hem, gear slung off both shoulders and a rope hanging loose from one hand. There is still snow lying in the grass. The sky does most of the work here, and he is the one warm mark of red in the middle of all that blue.
The Quiet One in the Collection
Because the figure is small and the sky is enormous, this reads as a landscape first and a Christmas piece second. That makes it the easiest one on this page to leave hanging into January and February, and the best pick for a room where you do not want the holiday shouting. It works in a bedroom, an office, a hallway or a lodge stairwell.

Questions About This Cowboy Santa Canvas
Can I leave this one up after Christmas?
This is the one built for it. The figure is small, the sky is the subject and there is no tree, no sleigh and no sack of toys on display, so it carries the winter months after the decorations come down better than the close portraits do.
What makes it a cowboy Santa?
The hat, the boots and the country. Tailor Made Rooms painted him walking open range rather than rooftops, which is what puts him in western territory.
Should I choose the black frame or the white one?
White suits this one particularly well because the painting is already pale and open, and a white frame keeps that airiness going. Black gives you a harder edge and more contrast against a light wall. Both are solid wood.
Can I hang it on a porch or outdoors?
No. Canvas is an indoor material. For a covered porch or an exposed wall, our printed 3mm aluminum composite signs are the right product and they live on the metal sign pages.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Mounting hardware comes attached and leveling bumpers are included.
