Deer Signs and Personalized Hunting Decor
Deer signs printed on stretched canvas or 3mm aluminum composite metal, personalized with your family name, the year you started and the town you hunt out of. Ten sizes, made to order, nothing held on a shelf.
What unites this collection is a wall that has to say whose place this is. A deer camp passed down through three generations, a basement finished out as a hunting room, a cabin that sits quiet from January to October. These are the signs that go up first and settle the room, and because every one is printed to order, the name, the year and the town are yours rather than ours.
About Our Deer Signs and Hunting Decor
You have just finished the basement, or taken over the camp from your dad, and the walls are bare. A deer sign is usually the first thing to go up, because it answers the only question the room is asking, which is whose place this is. Everything in this collection is printed to order with your family name, the year and the town, so no two leave here the same.
Tailor Made Rooms has printed more than 7,000 custom pieces since 2020. These run on stretched canvas or on 3mm aluminum composite metal, in ten sizes from 16x10 inches up to 72x45 inches, which covers everything from a narrow entry wall to the full span above a great room fireplace.

How to Choose Between Canvas and Metal
CANVAS. Choose it for a finished interior wall, a living room, a bedroom or a den. It has a soft matte face with a slight texture, it is wrapped on a kiln dried pine frame, and it runs lighter on price at every size, which makes it the easier way into the very large formats. Keep it out of the weather.
METAL. Choose it for anywhere that gets real conditions, a covered porch, a barn wall, a garage, a workshop or a camp that sits unheated half the year. The face is crisp and smooth with a faint sheen. Weather is not a problem, whether that is lake damp, salty air off the coast or a hard winter freeze.
What Size to Order
The rule that saves people the most grief is the two thirds rule. Your sign should span roughly two thirds the width of whatever it hangs above, a sofa, a mantel, a bench or a bar. Run a line of painter's tape on the wall at that width before you order, stand back and look at it for a day. Signs read smaller on the wall than they do on a screen, and the single most common regret is ordering one size down.
For hanging height, center the piece 57 to 60 inches from the floor, or 6 to 10 inches above the furniture below it. In a finished basement with a lower ceiling, the 36x22 and 42x26 sizes usually sit best because you view the wall from closer than you would in a great room.
Deer Decor for a Man Cave or Hunting Room
A hunting room or a man cave gives a sign a different job than a living room does. It is usually the one large thing on the wall, so it sets the tone for the bar, the mounts and everything else. Metal suits these rooms well, since a basement or a garage swings further in temperature and damp than the rest of the house.
Why It Lasts
The artwork is printed with UV resistant inks rated for five to ten years of color stability, and the metal option carries that outdoors as well as in. Both materials are light for their size, so a standard wall anchor holds even the large pieces without special hardware.
One honest note on the look. These are digitally designed and printed to look aged and weathered. The rust, the chipping and the worn paint are in the artwork, not in the surface. Nothing is engraved, embossed or raised, and none of it is wood.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a deer sign and a deer camp sign?
In practice it is the wording rather than the artwork. A deer sign built for a house usually reads as a welcome, with the family name and the year. A deer camp sign names the camp itself, often with the town and the year it was founded. Tailor Made Rooms prints both from the same designs, so pick the artwork you like and put whichever wording suits the room on it.
Can I put my own name, year and town on these?
Yes, on every piece in this collection. The family name is required and the rest are optional. The wording never changes the price, which follows the size and the material only.
Are these real metal?
The metal option is 3mm aluminum composite, which is two sheets of real aluminum bonded to a solid polyethylene core. That core is why the sign is light enough to hang on a single hook and why it will not dent the way thin tin does. The faces you touch are aluminum. We would rather explain that than dodge the question.
Will these work outdoors?
The metal option will, including a covered porch, a gate post, a barn wall or an unheated camp. Stretched canvas is an indoor piece and should stay dry. Both come from the same artwork, so the look does not change with the material.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Tailor Made Rooms ships free to the USA and Canada.
What if I want a design that is not in this collection?
Tailor Made Rooms designs custom signs from scratch, and a great many of these started that way. There is a 75 dollar start fee that puts a designer on your idea, and it comes off nothing else, it simply begins the work.
