A Cowboy Santa and One Very Curious Cow
Tight crop, heavy snow coming down. A black cow takes the left half of the frame with her ears up and her nose out, and he stands on the right in a pale hat and an open red coat with the fur cuffs pushed back, one gloved hand raised toward her. The background is a soft grey nothing of falling snow, which throws all the weight onto the two of them. It is painted warm and loose and it is the most affectionate piece in the set.
Where This One Belongs
The close crop means it reads clearly even at a smaller size, so it works in places a big landscape would not: a mud room, a farm kitchen, a hallway, an office, a barn office that is heated, or a gallery wall next to the wider pieces. It also makes an easy gift, because the subject explains itself in a second.

Questions About This Western Santa Canvas
How is this different from the other cattle canvas?
This is the close one. Heavy falling snow, the cow filling half the frame and the two of them almost nose to nose. The other is the wider pasture shot with Santa standing full length and more sky. This one works better small, that one works better large.
Will it read from across a room?
Yes. Because the crop is tight and there are only two shapes in it, this is the piece on the page that holds up best at the smaller sizes and on a busy wall.
Should I choose the black frame or the white one?
White suits it best, because the background is falling snow and a white frame lets that keep going past the edge. Black gives you a firmer boundary if the wall is pale. Both are solid wood.
Can I hang it on a porch or in a barn?
Only if the space is heated and dry. Canvas is an indoor material. For an unheated barn, a covered porch or an exposed wall, our printed 3mm aluminum composite signs are the right product and they live on the metal sign pages.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Mounting hardware comes attached and leveling bumpers are included.
