Metal Business Signs That Look Established

A brand new sign tells everyone the business is brand new. This one does not. The weathered rust finish and worn lettering are printed, so a shop that opened last month reads like it has been on that corner for twenty years.

It works on a storefront, a workshop, a barn conversion, a taproom, a stable or a feed store. Anywhere the brand benefits from looking rooted.

What Size Business Sign Do You Need?

Small, 16 x 8 and 20 x 10 inches. Office doors, reception desks, a small retail window, a directional marker.

Medium, 24 x 12 through 48 x 24 inches. The usual storefront choice. Also barn doors, workshop entrances and interior feature walls.

Large, 55 x 28 through 90 x 45 inches. Wide facades, large barns, anything that needs to be read from a road or a parking lot.

A trick worth doing before you order: tape the outline of the sign on the actual wall and walk back to where your customers stand. It takes five minutes and it is the difference between a sign that fits and one that does not. Our size guide shows every size to scale.

Questions About Our Custom Business Signs

Can I put my logo on it?

Yes, at no extra charge. Send the best version of the file you have. If the logo will not hold up at the size you want we will tell you before anything is printed rather than after.

Is the rust real?

No, and that matters for a business sign. The rust is printed onto aluminum, which does not corrode. Real rust on a real sign keeps spreading until the sign fails. This one looks the same in ten years as it does on the day it goes up.

Will it survive outside on a storefront?

The metal version is built for it. 3mm aluminum composite, rigid, weather resistant, printed with UV resistant ink so it does not fade or peel. Rain, snow and sun are the conditions it was made for. The canvas version is indoor only.

How does it mount?

Metal stand offs are the usual choice, four to six on most sizes and eight on the largest, holding the sign off the wall so it throws a shadow line. The alternatives are pre drilled holes for your own hardware, or a back frame mount that sits flush. The mounting chart in the photos shows all three.

What do I need to hang it?

A level, a pencil, a drill and the right bit for your wall. Masonry bit for brick or stone, wood bit for timber, metal bit for steel siding. Anchors and screws come with the sign. Tell us what you are fixing to and we will make sure you get the right hardware.

Who actually buys these?

Cafes, breweries and taprooms, barber shops, antique and boutique stores, workshops and garages. On the rural side: barn entrances, stables, farm markets, vineyard tasting rooms, lodges, cabins and guest ranches. The rustic finish sits well against weathered wood, stone and galvanised steel.

Do I see a proof before it prints?

Yes. Our design team sends a digital proof and nothing goes into production until you approve it. If something is wrong, ask for the revision. That is what the proof is for.

How do I look after it?

Wipe it with a soft damp cloth. No abrasive cleaners or solvents. If it is outside in high wind, check the fixings are still tight once in a while, the same as you would any mounted sign.

What if I want a shape or a size that is not listed?
