A Western Santa Who Has Earned the Chair
He is stretched out low against his own saddle with one white gloved hand pushing the brim of his hat back off his glasses, grinning at whoever just walked in. The red coat is open, the gear is piled where he dropped it with a bottle standing among it, and the whole background falls away into warm brown shadow so the light lands only on his face, his beard and those two big gloves. This is the darkest and the funniest painting in the set, and the brushwork is left loose and visible.

Questions About This Cowboy Santa Canvas
How is this different from the nightcap canvas?
They are a pair and they hang well together. In this one he is stretched out against his saddle pushing his hat back, with the bottle standing in the gear beside him. In the nightcap piece he has it in his hand and he is looking straight at you. That one is the louder of the two.
Which room does this one suit?
The relaxed ones. Tailor Made Rooms designed it dark and warm on purpose, so it lands best over a bar, in a basement lounge, a games room or a bunk room rather than in a bright formal space.
Will it work on a dark wall?
Yes, and better than most. Because the background of the painting is already deep brown, a dark wall reads as an extension of the canvas rather than a fight with it. On a dark wall we would take the white frame for the contrast.
What makes this a cowboy Santa?
The saddle he is leaning on and the hat he is pushing back. Tailor Made Rooms designed him as a rider at the end of a working night rather than a workshop figure.
Can I hang it on a porch or outdoors?
No. Canvas is an indoor material. For a covered porch or an exposed wall, our printed 3mm aluminum composite signs are the right product and they live on the metal sign pages.
