Beach Wall Art With Her Name On It

The artwork is laid out like a real shop front. Her name on the banner across the top, SURF SHOP in big aqua letters with a pink hibiscus through the middle, daily board rentals and surf lessons along the edges, and the year underneath. Every one of those lines is yours to change.

That is the difference between coastal wall decor and her coastal wall decor. One is a nice beach print. The other is the thing she points at when a friend comes over.

Canvas or Metal, and Where Each One Belongs

Canvas is indoor only. A 1.5 inch gallery wrap on a wooden frame, semi gloss, with the wire and felt pads already attached. This is the one for a bedroom wall, a nursery, over a desk or above a headboard.

Metal goes indoors or outdoors. Aluminum composite, rigid and weather resistant, so it holds up on a porch, a pool house or a covered patio. It ships with stand offs for mounting.

Coastal Wall Art Sizes

Eight sizes, all long and narrow, from 30 x 9 inches up to 90 x 26 inches. The shape is the point: this is built to run the width of a headboard, a crib, a desk or a window rather than float in the middle of a wall.

A 36 or 42 inch tends to sit well over a crib or a twin bed, and a 48 or 55 inch over a full. Hold a tape measure up first. Our size guide walks through every size and the mounting hardware.

What can I personalize?

The name on the banner, the city, the state and the year. Tell us what you want on each line when you order.

Does this work as coastal nursery decor?

It is one of the best uses for it. Hung above a crib or a changing table, the canvas version turns a plain nursery into a coastal one in a single piece. Put the year of birth on it instead of a shop year and it still means something when she is twelve. It also makes a baby shower gift nobody else will have thought of.

Does it come in other colors?

This one is the aqua and pink colorway with the hibiscus. We make the same surf shop design in a blue and orange version with a shark, which tends to suit a boys room or a boys nursery. Both are personalized the same way.

Is the wood real?

No, and that is deliberate. The weathered plank look is printed, so the surface is smooth and flat. You get the salvaged board look without splinters, warping or the weight.

Can it go outside?

The metal one can. Aluminum composite is made for outdoor signage, so a porch, a pool house or a covered patio is fine. Canvas is indoor only and will not survive weather.

Does this make a good gift?

It is one of the better ones, because it is not something she already has. Order early enough to approve the proof, since personalized pieces are not made until you have signed off on the artwork.

How does it hang?

Canvas arrives wired and ready to hang with felt pads on the back. Metal ships with stand offs, four to six on most sizes and eight on the largest, which hold it slightly off the wall.
